How does a product photoshoot work?
Discussion
You tell me about your goals, and together we create a detailed brief and a mood board (a selection of visual references). I confirm the timeline and cost, and you hand over the products for the shoot
The Photoshoot
I conduct the photoshoot at my own studio or in a rented one (studio rental fees are paid separately)
Proofs
Within 1–2 days of receiving the products, you’ll get all the raw shots for selection. You then mark the images you’d like me to retouch for final delivery
Final Retouching & Result
Within 3 days after you’ve made your selection, you’ll receive all the final, fully retouched images in high resolution

AI images are cheaper, so why hire a photographer?
About AI-generated images — especially when it’s obvious — people often speak of them negatively, as something “cheap and fast.” A customer can pick up on that idea and project it onto your entire brand, assuming that if you’re cutting corners on photos, you’re probably cutting corners on product quality too
My role as a photographer isn’t just to take a picture of a dish. It’s to convey the atmosphere of your brand, showcase the real product, and build trust with your customers — making them want to order from you. And trust means repeat purchases and revenue
If you know of any cases where AI images actually boosted sales, I’d be genuinely interested to see them
