How much does a photoshoot cost?
My rate is $50/hour
The price includes pre-production, the photoshoot itself, and post-processing. You receive images that are ready to publish on marketplaces and social media
Additional retouching from $2/pic, depending on complexity
How long does a photoshoot take?
2 hours is the minimum duration for a shoot
In one hour, we can shoot 15–20 dishes, depending on how quickly they’re served
Where and when does the shoot take place?
The shoot can take place in any location, at any time of day. I bring lighting, backdrops, and props — and set everything up to match your needs
When will I receive the final photos?
Full editing and delivery of final files — within 3 days after the shoot
If anything unexpected comes up, I’ll let you know right away
Can I see the results during the shoot?
Yes. The photos are displayed on a laptop screen in real time, so you can see the results instantly and suggest adjustments on the spot
How many photos will I receive?
If we’re shooting a delivery menu catalog — 4–5 photos of each dish + additional shots for social media upon request
If we’re shooting branded content for ads and social media — 25+ photos per hour of work
Do the dishes need to be prepared before the shoot?
No. If you’d like to save some time, you can prep the ingredients in advance — chop, boil, marinate — so the dish can be assembled quickly just before the shot
I wouldn’t recommend cooking everything completely beforehand: food loses its freshness, dries out, settles, or separates — and you’ll likely end up having to do it over anyway
AI images are cheaper, so why hire a photographer?
When AI-generated images are obvious — especially if they look artificial — people tend to talk about them in a negative way: “cheap and fast.” And that idea can stick. Clients may subconsciously transfer that feeling to your entire brand, assuming that if you’re cutting corners on visuals, you’re probably cutting corners on product quality too.
My job as a photographer isn’t just to take a picture of a dish. It’s to capture the atmosphere of your brand, show the real product, and build trust with your customers. And trust leads to repeat business and higher revenue.
That said — if you know of any cases where AI images actually increased sales, I’d genuinely be interested to see them.
